Today I’d like to introduce about 茶道（sado） in Japan. 茶道（Sado） means tea ceremony in

English. Sado is the traditional Japanese way of drinking tea in accordance with set rules of

etiquette. Both the host and guests share a sense of togetherness during the ceremony. Sado was

perfected by Rikyu Sen in the Azuchi-Momoyama period in the latter half of the sixteenth

century. In sado, special powdered tea, different from ordinary Japanese tea is especially used.

The powdered tea is put into a teacup, hot water is poured on it, it is whipped with a bamboo

whisk till it foams and it is drunk. In the sixteenth century, Sen-no-Rikyu brought sado to

perfection by incorporating the simple artistic values known as wabi(subtle taste) and sabi

(elegant simplicity) and the concept that every single encounter never repeats in a life time

(ichigo ichie). I learned Sado for 6 years. When I played sado, I feel relief. If you come to Japan, I

want you to experience sado!!!

初詣（Hatsumoude)

Hi! How was your New Year’s Day? Did you enjoyed it?

I went to 初詣 (Hatsumoude) on the 1th of January.

初詣(hatsumoude) means the first visit to a Buddhist temple or Shinto shrine in a new year.

There is the custom in Japan of making visits to temples or shrines

at New Year, even if people are not Buddhist believers, in order to

pray for health and happiness in the new year.

On the occasion of hatsumode, people give money offerings written

oracles and good luck charms(:

I lined long time to give money offerings in 賽銭箱（offering box) I

prayed various things about job hunting,health happiness and so on.

Japanese Gal

Have you ever heard about Gal ??

Gal means fashionable women who are around twentis.

Especially they wear too much individual makeup.

They have stlongly friendship.

They often appear 109 in Shibuya.

109 is big department store what can buy Gal's clothes.

They often produce vogue-words like KY, ウーロン茶

and so on.

KY→空気（Kuki）　読めない（Yomenai）

ウーロン茶→うざい（Uzai）　ロン毛の（Longeno）　茶髪野朗（Tyapatu yarou)

they are many variety.

汚ギャル→they raely take shower and change their underwear.(sometimes bad smell)

ギャル男→Men who wear chothes like Gal.

But actually we don't analyze all of Gal
